Nestled in the beautiful surrounds of Oatley Park, Oatley West Public School is a vibrant, inclusive and high-achieving school with a proud history dating back to 1947. Our diverse community represents more than 40 languages spoken at home, with 47% of students from language backgrounds other than English. The school is built on a strong culture of high expectations, continuous improvement and student success, with dedicated staff working in partnership with students, families and the wider community to achieve outstanding learning outcomes. Our motto, “Learning to Live – Living to Learn,” reflects our commitment to developing confident, capable and well-rounded young people.

Students at Oatley West are provided with a rich range of opportunities across academics, performing arts, sport and extra-curricular activities, including music, band, choir, chess, dance, debating and public speaking. Student voice is valued through our Student Representative Council, while strong partnerships with families, the P&C and local community provide opportunities including community programs, volunteering and our much-loved annual Community Festival.
