Financial contributions and assistance

There are some costs associated with going to school that you may find it helpful to plan and budget for.

Costs to consider include:

  • uniforms

  • school books and equipment

  • excursions

  • co-curricular activities.

Voluntary school contributions

Like all NSW public schools, we can request contributions to enhance our educational and sporting programs including elective subjects. School contributions help provide additional educational resources for the benefit of students. Payment is voluntary.

For more information, visit the Voluntary School Contribution policy.

Financial assistance

If you are unable to pay school contributions because of financial hardship, you may be eligible for assistance from the school.

Our principal will ensure no student or family suffers any discrimination or embarrassment over the inability to pay school contributions.

Financial support is available to help eligible families with school related costs.

Centrelink child care benefit

Families using outside of school hours care may be eligible to claim for this child care benefit to help with these costs.

School student transport scheme

The School Student Transport Scheme provides subsidised travel to and from school for eligible students on train, bus, ferry and light rail services during school term. It also offers subsidised travel to and from school in private vehicles in areas where there is no public transport available.

Assisted school travel program

The assisted school travel program helps eligible students with a disability to travel to and from school safely.

School Banking

What is School Banking?

School Banking is a rewards program run by the Commonwealth Bank.  The program aims at encouraging good savings behaviour. Parents simply need to open a youthsaver account for their child. Students receive a silver dollarmites token every time they make a deposit to their savings account at school regardless of the amount deposited. When they have collected 10 tokens they can redeem them for a variety of exclusive dollarmites reward items such as handballs, wallets, knucklebones, games, torches, calculators and headphones.

Under the School Banking Contributions Program schools receive:

  • An establishment contribution of $200 when their first ever school banking deposit is processed, or if a school re-joins after 12+ months.
  • An annual contribution each calendar year when their first school banking deposit is processed. The amount paid is based on the number of students who made at least one school banking deposit in the prior year.
  • A regular savers contribution of $5 for every 10 school banking deposits processed per student in line with the existing school banking rewards program for students.

Can you help with school banking?

Yes! We have several volunteers but need more to share the duties.
