The Uniform Shop is an onsite service.
It is open every Thursday from 9.00am - 10.00 am, at the end of G Block.
Currently, the Uniform Shop is not open to allow you to try the uniform on your child. In lieu of this, you have been provided with an order form, size chart and suggested minimum number of each item you may require for your child’s needs (see below).
Order forms should be completed and returned prior to the 12th November, to ensure sufficient stock is available and to allow time for exchanges to be made.
Once completed, please email a scanned copy of your form to owpsuniform@gmail.com or return the form to the school office or Uniform Shop Letterbox (No. 8), located in the front courtyard of the school.
Alternatively, the Uniform Shop is online and you can order your uniform via this website link.
Please note, order forms sent by email are being accepted for orientation, they are otherwise not actioned by this method.
Once your order is ready, the Uniform Shop will contact you to arrange collection from the school office. If the sizes you have selected are not suitable, exchanges will be accommodated, provided the items being exchanged are in their original condition, with tags and packaging intact.
All exchanges for uniform items needed for the start of the year will need to be resolved prior to the end of the school year, as the Uniform Shop is not open during the school holidays. It will only reopen on the first Thursday when school resumes for Term 1 next year.
At this time, winter uniform will not be available for you to order, this will be arranged early next year.
Uniform Shop updates are communicated weekly in the School Newsletter or via the SkoolBag App. Order forms for your future needs can be located on the School Website, at the School Office and on the SkoolBag App. Alternatively, you will be able to order your uniform online, with all deliveries made on Thursday.
We take great pride in the appearance of the children at Oatley West Public School and encourage all students to wear the correct school uniform.
Summer Uniform: The Summer Uniform is worn Monday to Thursday from the beginning of Term 4. The summer uniform consists of the following:
Girls – Summer Tunic, worn with blue socks, black shoes, zip jacket (as required) and school hat (tunic recommendation – minimum 2)
Culottes with the short sleeve blue polo shirt (with school logo), are also available as an alternative to the tunic however traditionally the children in years K-2 wear the tunic. Blue socks and black shoes are worn with the culottes (if this is your preferred option, culottes and polos recommendation – minimum 2 of each)
Boys - Grey shorts with short sleeve blue polo shirt (with school logo), grey striped school socks, black shoes, zip jacket (as required) and school hat (grey shorts and polos recommendation – minimum 2 of each)
Winter Uniform: The Winter Uniform is worn Monday to Thursday the day after Mother’s Day. The winter uniform consists of the following:
Girls - Winter Tunic (pinafore) worn with long sleeve blue polo (with school logo), grey tights, black shoes, zip jacket and school hat (tunic and polo recommendation – minimum 2 of each)
Charcoal Bootleg Pants are also available with the long sleeve blue polo shirt (with school logo) are also available as an alternative to the tunic however traditionally, the children in years K-2 wear the tunic. Blue socks and black shoes are to be worn with the bootleg pants (bootleg pants and polo recommendation – minimum 2 of each)
Boys - Gaberdine pants with long sleeve blue polo shirt (with school logo), grey striped school socks, black shoes, zip jacket and school hat (pants and polos recommendation – minimum 2 of each)
Sports Uniform – The Sports Uniform is worn every Friday, all year round. There will be occasions where your child will be required to wear their Sports Uniform on other nominated days, this will be with prior notification. The Sports Uniform consists of the following:
Girls/Boys - Gold polo shirt (with school logo) and black unisex sport shorts (with gold OWPS embroidery), white sport socks, joggers, zip jacket (as required) and school hat (gold polo and sport shorts recommendation – minimum 1 of each)
If your child feels the cold, they are permitted to wear black tracksuit pants or black leggings with their gold polo shirt – these are not sold at the Uniform Shop.
Hats - All children must wear a school hat. Caps are not part of the School Uniform. Oatley West follows guidelines set by the Department of Education in respect to Safe Sun practices. If your child does not wear a hat, they will be instructed to go to a shaded area (recommendation – minimum 1)
Shoes - Boys and Girls are to wear black shoes Monday to Thursday. Joggers are to be worn for sport on Friday.
Socks – girls wear blue (saxe) socks (recommendation – minimum 2 packs = 4 pairs), boys wear custom made grey socks with red and gold stripes (recommendation – minimum 4 pairs)
Library Bag – all children are expected to have a library bag. Although the library bag we sell is not compulsory, it is a dual-purpose bag which can also be used for excursions. The features of this bag are the Velcro closure, drawstring opening, fluoro reflectors and identification pocket window (recommendation – minimum 1)
School Bag - All children are required to have a school bag. Our school bags are supplied by Spartan and are designed to provide comfort and support for your child (recommendation – minimum 1)
We will happily exchange or refund if:
· You have your receipt.
· The goods are returned within 30 days of purchase.
· The goods are in their original condition (with tags and packaging for resale)
Clothing items in similar colours and styles are NOT acceptable uniform.
